Lilia's gaze travelled the room, unable to stay on one thing, a sign of her nervousness. This was so...un-her. She wasn't a social person at the best of times, and this wasn't the best of times. She was in a strange place in an even stranger country, surrounded by people that were stranger still. She wanted to curl up somewhere on her own and think, or to dance it off. Not that she was going to do that. She had made up her mind that she would meet new people; though she hadn't anticipated it being like this. Right now, all she wanted was to be at home with her parents and her few friends, having fun, and speaking in her own language. Not that any of those things would happen. It was unlikely that she would see her parents again, and she had lost those few friends when her parents had been taken. As for speaking in her mother-tongue, she'd just have to teach someone here Russian so she could speak it.
Her gaze fell on the girl who had announced that she was going to the music room. Good on her - she was getting out of the awkward group of so totally different people. Lilia had half a mind to follow her, but she couldn't leave Jude, and besides, she didn't play anything. She sighed quietly, almost wistfully, and stuck her hands in the pockets of her cord jacket.
Lilia looked again at Jude. She was saying something about the drinks, but she didn't understand what. She shrugged. She didn't mind. These Americans said things in such wierd ways, it didn't bother her that she didn't understand them. It also gave her the chance to make up her own translations, and to have some imaginitive fun.
The small girl jumped as Jude spoke to her. "Um, alright," she said, following her to the door, having a sudden urge to disappear off, not caring if she got lost in the massive school. She smiled up at Analiese, whom she too recognised, but stepped back from the dog. She didn't want to be bitten, though she was by no means afraid of dogs in general. She had had a lovely white dog, Pavlov, at home, but he was probably in kennels now, if he hadn't been put down, like so many other animals in Russia.
Lilia walked back out to the corridor, though she couldn't lead the way back to her dorm, as she had only ended up here by accident. She leant against the wall, waiting for Jude.
